European Financial Systems 2018



The Department of Finance at Masaryk University holds a traditional annual meeting of academic and business professionals in the area of finance. The conference focuses on prevailing scientific inquiries in the area of global financial markets and financial systems. Discussions will also cover recent findings in banking, financial literacy, insurance, financial modelling, and financial management alongside with developments in accounting practices and taxation systems. We encourage economists and professionals working in related fields to submit their papers.

The registration process done via the Conference.

Please take into account that no papers after the deadline will be accepted. At the same time, none of the dates will be extended, the dates (Important dates) are final.

Abstract Paper ad Camera Ready submission can be made online via Conference. Please note that abstract should briefly describe aim, methodology and preliminary results. Jointly authored papers should be submitted by the person who will present the paper.

All papers are subject to a blind review process to judge their suitability for inclusion in the conference program. The conference language is English and all presentations must be given in English. Accepted papers should be presented at the conference in order to get published in the conference proceedings. Full versions of accepted papers (up to 8 pages long) will be published in a printed form after the blind peer review.

Published papers are subject to submission for evaluation and possible coverage the Clarivate Analytics Conference Proceedings Citation Index (Formed Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index – Web of Science) accessible in the Web of Science (conferences 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 are indexed in the Web of Science).

Extended versions of accepted papers can be submitted after standard peer-reviewing to Financial Assets and Investing journal. The journal is placed on the List of non-impact peer-reviewed journals published in the Czech Republic for the year 2015 and it is also included in ERIH PLUS database. Registration and conference fee payment can be made online via Takeplace.

The following registration fees apply: 

• Faculty/Practi­tioners: 5,000 CZK (VAT included).
• Co-authors: 2,500 CZK (VAT included), it concerns only those co-authors who participate in the conference. If a co-author does not participate in the conference, he/she is free of the fee.
• Full time PhD students: 2,800 CZK (VAT included).

The conference fee will not be refunded.

The fee includes: presentation of paper, conference materials, conference proceedings, coffee breaks, two lunches and reception.

In case that more than one author of jointly authored papers will attend the Conference, one attending author needs to pay the full registration fee, other authors reduced fee. Students wishing to benefit from the discounted fee must submit a letter from their supervisor or the secretary of their department/faculty, confirming their status as full-time students.
